ZVV app tour

The app provides you with all the latest timetable information throughout Switzerland and allows you to purchase tickets and Travelcards within seconds. It offers all ZVV and Z-Pass tickets, as well as tickets and day passes for all other regional networks and the rest of Switzerland.

We have redesigned and improved the homepage of the ZVV app based on user feedback and ideas. Read more about the features of the ZVV app below:

Home page with quick access to all important functions

The home page now has three tabs: the "Home" tab is active during the initial installation, and the last tab used is always displayed when the app is opened. Each tab gives you direct access to SwissPass Mobile and your tickets.

Home: Traffic information and planned trips

Current traffic information is prominently displayed here. You can save your planned journeys here. You can also receive push notifications about traffic events on these routes and pause them if necessary.

Timetable: Real-time timetable and map-based connection search

From the home page, you can launch the national timetable search to quickly find the connection you are looking for. The timetable search can be started using one or two input fields and the view can be adjusted using the arrow icon. If there are two fields, the current location is automatically used as the departure point.

The app offers a variety of filtering options and real-time information about delays, connection times and other service information. You can share this travel information, save it to your calendar or add it to your home page.

If you buy your tickets directly from the timetable enquiry, you benefit from value-for-money supersaver tickets on national services (on certain trains only).

Use the map view to see nearby stops and upcoming departures. You can also search for stops, addresses and locations and view the timetables you need. Routes are shown on the map.

Tickets: Single tickets, day passes and multiple tickets or check-in tickets

With just a few taps, you can buy tickets for journeys within the ZVV network and throughout Switzerland – for yourself, your travel companions, dogs and bicycles. Multiple tickets are also available in the app.

The easiest way to buy tickets in the app: check in – travel – check out – that's it! With the ZVV app's check-in function, you always have the right ticket throughout Switzerland and can change your travel plans on the spot. Journeys are billed daily via your chosen payment method or monthly via invoice. The Smart Stop function helps you if you forget to check out.

SwissPass & Tickets

You can access your SwissPass or tickets at any time using the SwissPass & Tickets button. The easiest way is to log in with your SwissPass, so that existing subscriptions such as the Half-Fare Travelcard are automatically taken into account when you buy tickets.

You can also buy, renew or refund your personal ZVV pass or Z-Pass directly in the app. All you need is an existing SwissPass, which you can link in the app. You can show your Travelcard directly in the app if a ticket inspection is required. If you wish, you can opt to receive a reminder to renew your Travelcard on your mobile phone.

The ZVV app is available free of charge for iOS and Android mobile phones. It does not work on tablets.
