Check-in ticket: day passes
In the case of two or more single journeys within the same zone, the check-in function on the ZVV app charges a calendar day pass.
Unlike a 24h-ticket, this day pass is not valid for 24 hours, but only for the calendar day and until 5:00 am the following morning. Due to the limited validity period, it is 10% cheaper than the 24h-ticket and the zone upgrade for 24 hours, according to the official ZVV fares.
The calendar day pass can only be purchased/charged via the check-in ticket. The other sales channels offer the 24h-ticket.
With the check-in feature, you always have the right ticket. All you have to do is check in on the ZVV app before boarding and then check out after your journey. Your travel route will be recorded via GPS. At the end of the day, you will be charged the correct price for all your journeys. More information about the check-in ticket on the ZVV app is available here.
