Tickets for dogs
Dogs travel at a reduced fare on the ZVV network. If you frequently travel with your dog across Switzerland, buying a dog pass is a cost-effective option.
Small dogs up to 30 centimetres tall can travel for free if carried in a basket or bag. Larger dogs require a reduced 2nd class ticket.*.
Dog Pass
If you frequently travel with a dog, consider buying a dog pass for CHF 350 per year. Loaded onto the SwissPass, the pass allows the holder to take a dog anywhere in Switzerland for one year. Note that the pass is issued to a person, not the dog.
ZVV Dog Pass
The ZVV-NetzPass for dogs is issued to the dog, not to a person, allowing the dog to travel with any accompanying person who has a valid ticket. This travelcard is available at sales outlets and is provided in paper format.
