Accessibility symbols
In the online timetable, the following symbols provide more information about the accessibility of a service.
Important notice
Barrier-free connections can only be displayed up to 30 days in advance. Due to special circumstances (e.g. damage to a vehicle), it may be necessary to reroute vehicles, so it is recommended that you check accessibility shortly before you travel.

Symbols
The symbols in the connection information show the status of the procedure for boarding and alighting. The following is taken into account:
- Accessibility of the station (ramp or lift)
- Suitability of the platform or the edge of the station (height, width)
- Type of vehicle used on the desired route (low-floor vehicle).
Stations
In the "Barrier-free travel" function, all SBB stations and the stations of all other vehicles in the ZVV area can be viewed. Information on tram and bus stops is currently only available for the canton of Zurich. Information on bus stops is not yet complete.
Vehicles
The information is based on timetable data. It is therefore possible that other types of vehicles (e.g. without low-floor access) may be used in the event of service disruptions.
Barrier-free access
We regret that it is not possible to provide information on partial elevations of stations, i.e. platforms that do not provide barrier-free access for their entire length. The SBB Call Centre Handicap will be happy to help you.
Bus and tram stops usually have more than one platform (one per direction). If a stop has different levels of accessibility, e.g. direction 1 is accessible but direction 2 is not, the entire stop is marked as not accessible (i.e. the worst case counts). If there are several vehicles operating from the same stop (e.g. tram and bus), the accessibility of each vehicle is indicated.
Discrepancies
If you find any discrepancies between the information provided and the actual situation, please inform the ZVV Customer Service Contact, giving details of the stop, the route used and, if possible, a photograph of the stop.
